Zama and Fujita (1977) reported two specimens of P. porphyreus Jenkins (TUFO 59 & 1063). We were unable to locate these specimens; however, the four specimens we did examine (MTUF 22886-22889), which were labelled as P. porphyreus, are P. spilurus. MTUF 22886-22889, 4: 215-222 mm SL; MTUF ?, 140 mm SL (Ref. 26066). |
